This is a Lionel 3665 Vintage O Gauge US Air Force Minuteman Missile Launching Car from 1961-64. This features a concealed launching mechanism and missile inside the boxcar with an opening roof. To operate the car, cock the spring loaded mechanism, put the rocket on it, and close the nicely fitting roof halves. To remotely launch the missile, either park it or run it slowly over a remote control track section. When triggered the roof opens and the launching mechanism slowly raises and then the missile launches at your unsuspecting target! This car features plastic trucks, operating knuckle couplers, & metal wheels and axles.
