Known as the Baltic in Europe and the Hudson in North America, the 4-6-4 was introduced in the early 20th century finding success in hauling freight and as a shunting model. Their use would initially find great success on North American railways before eventually becoming mainstays in rail-yards around the world.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-7: Excellent based on visual appearance. There are a few small nicks and scratches in the die-cast construction. The rear platform piece on the locomotive is slightly loose. One of the clasp pieces is bent causing the platform to be loose on one end. The wheels & pickups show wear from light previous use.
