This is a Lionel 249E Vintage O 2-4-2 Tinplate Steam Locomotive w/ 265W Tender from 1936-39. The locomotive features metal construction, a motor, a reverse unit, an operating headlight, a smoke stack, a decorative bell, metal side rods, metal wheels and exquisite detail. The tender features tinplate construction, a box coupler, tinplate trucks with black journals, metal wheels and axles.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. The tender whistle is missing wires to the connectors. One collector is missing a spring. Both units show heavy rusting on the shell and on the wheels. The locomotive and tender show scratches and spots of paint loss throughout various sections of the shell and chassis. These cars show rust throughout various sections of the chassis and trucks. This item has been inspected by our repair shop.
