This is a Lionel 6-81901 O New York Central Tractor w/Piggyback Semi Trailer. As early as the 1940s Piggyback-style trailers were hauled by the railroads on the decks of flatcars. After their journey on the rails, these same trailers were then pulled by semi-tractor trucks to reach their final destinations. Semi-Tractor Features: Die-cast metal construction, opening doors, separately applied details. Piggyback Trailer Features: Opening doors and adjustable landing gear, separately applied details, spare tire under each trailer, flexible mud flaps. Painted in red Tractor w/Pacemaker gray and red Trailer.
