This is LGB 20577 F7A Unit Powered ATSF Bluebonnet #333. Era III USA, Santa Fe. At the end of the forties the Electro Motive Division (EMD) of General Motors introduced this classic diesel electric locomotive. With its beautifully shaped bulldog nose and a performance of 1,500 hp the F7 was a favorite with both railroads and fans. Almost 2,400 F7 locomotives were built for many different American railroads, where they were used in freight and passenger service into the seventies.
