This is a Kato USA Inc 381-309042 HO Scale Gunderson Maxi IV 3-Unit Well Car – Ready to Run Trailer-Train #765690 (yellow, black, 2010s Red Logo) These hardworking cars are the mainstay of the U.S. double-stack fleet. The model features a metal injection-molded frame plus piping and patterned running board details. On the prototype the two middle trucks carry the weight of the load and this model is equipped with 38 scale wheels on the middle trucks and 33 scale wheels on the end trucks. Any standard HO container will fit into the wells. Kato 53′ container sets (sold separately) are equipped with magnets to ensure they sit securely in the well and remain in place during operation.
